Hands-on problem solving for small businesses

Fix what isn’t working.
Build what’s missing.

I help small businesses solve problems that don’t fit neatly into one job description. I start with what’s happening now, then use whatever mix of process changes, software, hardware, and fabrication the problem calls for.

Cross-domain thinking for problems that don’t fit neatly into one discipline.

What I take on / 01

Complex problems rarely care where the solution came from.

A workflow may borrow from manufacturing. A physical fix may need sensors or software. A technical system may need a fabricated part. I use the disciplines that help solve the actual problem.

01

Operations & Workflow

Make work easier to see, hand off, and finish. I untangle job flow, inventory, documentation, and repetitive manual steps.

Inventory · dispatch · process cleanup

02

Design & Prototyping

When the right thing isn’t on a shelf, I design it for the way it will actually be used, then test the fit and function.

Shop tools · fixtures · one-off parts

03

Technical Integration

Connect hardware, software, and information into a system that does a useful job in the real world.

Sensors · automation · custom interfaces

Selected work / 02

Real work, already built.

These projects start by seeing the current state clearly, then changing what causes the friction. The mix of process, software, hardware, sensing, CAD, and fabrication changes with the problem.

02 / SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Useful systems, working together.

OVRLand is an operational vehicle platform with a dashboard, EQ and media interface, camera system and Sky Cam, navigation, GPS, weather, sensors, vehicle data, and custom controls. Starlink vehicle mounts carry the work into physical installation.

Selected work OVRLand · cameras · Sky Cam · Starlink mounts

03 / OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS

A clearer way to run the work.

In a working automotive shop, I designed and implemented Kanban and visual status systems, improved dispatch, inventory, and purchasing/PO flow, and developed documentation and SOPs. The changes reduced manual repair-order processing time.

Selected work Kanban · shop workflow · inventory · SOPs

04 / SOFTWARE & AUTOMATION

Small tools for specific work.

I have built SOP Work Companion, ArChI desktop and accessibility tooling, Telegram utility bots, workflow automations, and custom scripts. Each makes a real task easier to find, follow, or finish.

Selected work SOP Work Companion · ArChI · bots · utilities

05 / WORKFLOW SYSTEM · EXPERIMENTAL

TaktRO — rethinking the repair-order interface.

A keyboard-first, local-first prototype for reducing menu navigation and transaction friction. It follows parts (build/change/delete) → technician and hours → progress → complete → invoice → post through explicit states and deterministic commands. It also explores estimate handling, shop memory, and capacity logic.

Status Experimental proof of concept — not production software.

06 / SENSING & ELECTRONICS

Measure first. Solve from evidence.

A wearable gait prototype captured IMU movement data; long-duration storage became the limit for the next iteration. Other hands-on work includes vehicle and environmental telemetry, a gaussmeter, custom test devices, sensor and microcontroller circuits, power and control wiring, Tesla coil builds, and electronics troubleshooting.

The pattern When a problem is unclear, build a way to measure it.

07 / DESIGN & REVERSE ENGINEERING

Make the part that needs to exist.

I reconstruct parts from physical examples, build CAD models, and iterate toward working replacements. That includes custom mounts, shop tools, fixtures, adapters, TPU products, and practical one-off pieces.

Selected work Replicated parts · mounts · tools · functional prints

How I work / 03

The toolset changes. The method doesn’t.

See the current state. Make a useful shift. Check the result in real use.

You don’t need another consultant. You need the problem resolved.

  1. 01

    See the current state.

Watch how the work actually happens: what takes too long, breaks down, gets lost, or needs to exist. Define the friction before choosing a fix.

  2. 02

    Make the useful shift.

Borrow from process, software, hardware, electronics, sensing, CAD, or fabrication to change the part holding things back.

  3. 03

    Build, measure, refine.

Test the result against the starting point and leave behind something that works better.

What are you trying to fix, improve, or build?

Tell me the rough version. A few sentences about what’s happening and what you wish worked better is enough to start.
